Locally Produced Honey

Lonesome Hollow Honey was established in 2017. As Jerry was preparing to retire, he started researching starting a honey bee business to continue his lifelong learning goals. While visiting family during the Thanksgiving holidays he learned that his nephew, Kris, was also interested in adding honey bees on his family ranch. As a result, we teamed up and our honey operation began. We started our first 6 hives in May, 2018.

Our operation expanded in 2019 to 19 active hives. In July, the beginning of the summer dearth (period of extreme heat and minimal moisture), we started our first honey extraction.
