2023 Summer Update

Sorry it has been a (long) while since we have updated our site. A lot of weather-related events affected our business along with some unexpected life events. But the bees are working hard this year and we are expecting a good honey harvest at the end of July. We had beautiful fields full of flowers and grass in April and May. I was in Texas last week before this extreme heat arrived to check on the bees. We have 21 hives this year and 15 of them are making extra honey to share with our friends and customers. Since rain has been missing our forage area this last month, the bees are having to work extra hard to find nectar as the flowers disappear. But I am hoping for our best honey harvest since we started beekeeping 6 years ago.
